Dana 35 gear oil capacity. I replaced the OEM oil with Amsoil Severe Gear--75W-110 in the front and 75W-140 in the rear. It took 1.3QTs in the front and 1.6QTs in the rear. Off-Roading in my Wildtrak; taking a break from Wranglerville.

I just changed my gear oil in the front and the fluid capacities I've seen posted says 4 pints (2 quarts), but that much won't fit in. At about a 1.3 qts it starts flowing out the fill hole.

The problem with only one bottle is the increased amount of fluid the Dana 70 and 80s have over the 60. Seen enough of the 70s eat up the clutches by not adding enough slip lube. When I service any 70 or 80 min amount is 1 1/2 bottles in the 70 and 2 in the 80.

(just for rear to start with). Hello, so trying to decide what gear oil to put in my old dana 60 rear diff and there are some variables. It's a full float axle so the gear lube also lubricates the rear wheel bearings.
