John deere 4250 problems

Hi,I recently experienced some shifting problems in my JD 4250. It has the 16 speed Powershift transmission. Tractor has 5300 hrs on it and has been religously maintained and cared for.The problem: I started tractor and drove for roughly 5-7 minutes and noticed around gear 5 or 6 that when I upshifted, I was getting no response.

With power on, when you disconnect the wire from the sender, the gauge should go to empty and when you ground the wire (touch to metal) it should go back to full. That would indicate the the gauge is ok, the wire is intact between the sender and the gauge, and the sender is bad.

Jul 19, 2015. #1. This tractor would have had two 6 volt batteries originally installed. We had a 4250 and two 4450's equipped this way. Always started fine. Don't know if having two twelves in parallel instead of two sixes in series would effect the charging. Your a/c should work fine at your present voltage.
