Hi yall. Just bought the "complete package" for XCom - Enemy Unknown, and it came with the expansion Enemy Within. I thought this would be just an extra chapter or set of mission or whatever, like most DLCs are, however, after doing some googling, it seems like its basically the entire base game, but with some noticeable changes.

It seems like you don't even want to like XCOM 2, and are just refuting all points that come up against you. XCOM 2 has way more cool gadgets for your soldiers. Running into a single squad at once and having short periods to reload and regroup is ideal. Running into 3 squads at once generally calls for liberal application of grenades, rockets or the loading of a save file.
The two games are essentially unchanged except for a few changes: Enemy Within added a number of new maps, at the time much was made about the maps having more elevated positions so you got more of a 3d feeling to combat. It also removed a couple of maps for various reasons. It added two new mechanical aliens.
